Providing Healthcare
The People Changing Life Foundation provides free basic healthcare to children and their families in the Jacmel region. For thousands of people living in the community, our health services are their only option either because of lack of access or because of poverty. Over the past five years, doctors and nurses working with the Foundation have examined and treated over 28,000 patients.
The People Changing Life Foundation has responded to changing circumstances by making its healthcare services more accessible. Thanks to your support, the Foundation now operates a mobile clinic visiting each of its academy and after-school locations. Healthcare services include examinations, treatment of basic injuries and infections, referrals for serious conditions requiring specialized expertise, routine dental care, HIV education, and birth control training and tools.

Providing some of the poorest Haitian children access to education is a primary focus of the People Changing Life Foundation. The Foundation operates two elementary schools in the Jacmel region — Chapman Wilson Academy in Bassin Bleu, and Snyder Jones Academy in Lamandou. Each of the schools provide classes for kindergarten through 6th grade. Through the generous support of donors to the People Changing Life Foundation, tuition, uniforms, books and other school supplies are provided free to the students attending both Chapman Wilson Academy and Snyder Jones Academy.
Other Sustaining Support
The People Changing Life Foundation provides employment. The Foundation employs, for example, teachers, cooks, doctors and nurses, construction works, and administrative staff, helping to build the local economy.

Since its inception, the Foundation has built or restored dozens of houses for families without any livable shelter. The two-room, reinforced concrete block homes built by the Foundation provide a secure environment and safe refuge from storms.
